Who is Turner Loose Media?
I’m RyLee Turner — the face behind Turner Loose Media.
I’ve been a competitive competitor my whole life, so I can confidently say I’ve seen events from every angle, in the arena, at the front gates, in the secretary box, behind and in front of the bar… and yes, I’ve even had the premium view of being bucked off and laying in the dirt, staring up at the sky. I’ve been on committees, in secretary roles, and right in the thick of it when things don’t go to plan.
I grew up in a family deeply involved in campdrafting and rodeo, so this lifestyle isn’t something I stepped into, it’s what I was raised in. I understand the pressure of competition, the work that happens behind the scenes, and the importance of capturing moments that actually mean something to the people living it.
I only picked up a camera to document life for TurnerMarks, the horses, our family, the wins, the losses, and the chaos in between. Somewhere along the way, I realised I could turn that into more than just photos filling up a hard drive, and Turner Loose Media was born.
Announcing followed the same path. If a committee needed someone on the mic, I’d jump on. Growing up, my brother and I practised by talking absolute bull and over-hyping each other at any opportunity… turns out that’s a marketable skill. Now it’s about reading the crowd, backing the competitors, and bringing energy without missing the important moments.
Turner Loose Media is built on real experience, real people, and real atmosphere. Whether I’m behind the lens, on the mic, or helping events run better behind the scenes, the goal is always the same, capture it properly, tell the story honestly, and keep things loose.
